I’ve never used adjustable dumbbells before, how do I adjust the weight?

We have a number of adjustable dumbbells in the BRAINGAIN range and the mechanism to change the weight varies depending on the adjustable dumbbell selected. The most important thing is to make sure that the adjustable dumbbell is in it's tray as the safety lock mechanisms prevent the weights from being changed otherwise.

All of the BRAINGAIN adjustable dumbbells are designed and built to change weights in a matter of seconds rather than minutes with the old style spinlock adjustable dumbbells.

I’ve never used adjustable kettlebells before, how do I adjust the weights?

The adjustable kettlebells have a very simple lock and unlock mechanism when adjusting the weight. Simply pull the tab, slide to unlock and then remove / add the relevant plates to set your weight. Once the weight is set, slide the tab back to lock and you’re good to use your adjustable kettlebell.

What is the best practice to use the adjustable dumbbells?

As with all things mechanical we do advise being sensible when using our adjustable dumbbells. We suggest to always lay down gently and never be dropped. We also suggest using a soft mat to place the dumbbells upon in between sets. Unlike fixed weight dumbbells in a commercial gym, they are not designed to be dropped or thrown down. 

Are the dumbbells / kettlebells easy to use?

The dumbbells and kettlebells are both very easy to use, specifically designed to change the weight in seconds instead of minutes, removing the need for a full rack of fixed weight dumbbells. 

What are the weight increments?

These vary depending on the product and can be found on each product page. The BRAINGAIN adjustable dumbbells vary from 5 dumbbells in 1 all the way up to 26 dumbbells in 1. 

Is there a warranty?

All of the BRAINGAIN products have a 12 month warranty from receipt of delivery. The warranty covers any defects under normal use during the warranty period and we will repair or replace, at no cost, products or parts of the product that are defective because of improper materials or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.

The warranty does not cover damage of the product resulting from negligence (e.g. dropping the product), unauthorized modification of the product or damage caused by weather (e.g. rust if product is kept outside).

Please note: any orders placed before 1st September 2022 benefit from a 6 month warranty.

Do you stock spare parts?

All of the BRAINGAIN range comes with a 12 month warranty included free of charge, with longer warranty options available. We understand that sometimes you want the peace of mind of having spare parts just in case and we do stock spare handles, bases and plates for each of our products. Please do contact us if you would like to purchase. 

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the following credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover. We also accept payment by PayPal or Klarna. If you decide to use either of these two methods, you’ll be taken to either the PayPal or Klarna website, where you’ll be prompted to log in and process your payment. You’ll then be directed back to our merchant website once your transaction is complete.

We do not take payment over the phone, however if you would like to make payment via Bank Transfer against an invoice we are happy to facilitate. Please contact us directly for further information.

Where is my refund?

We aim to process refunds within three days of an item being returned to us. Please note, however, that your bank may take several days to process the payment back into your account. With that said, please allow up to ten working days after posting the item back to us before getting in touch about your refund. We’ll contact you by email to let you know when your refund has been processed.

Ordering and Delivery

How long will postage take?

All orders are dispatched from the BRAINGAIN warehouse in Germany. We aim to dispatch as many orders as we can the same day they are placed, however it can occasionally be the next business day. We use professional postal couriers (UPS, DPD, GLS, DHL) and you will receive tracking information the same day that the order is dispatched.

When will you dispatch my order?

All orders are dispatched from the BRAINGAIN warehouse in Germany. We aim to dispatch all orders the same day or next business day. 

How do I cancel my order?

There is only a short amount of time between when you place your order and when we start processing it. If you contact us straight away after ordering, via eusupport@braingain.fit, we may be able to cancel your order before it’s processed. Please however be mindful that our Customer Service working hours are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. 

If we haven't been able to cancel your order, your order will be dispatched however you can decline receipt of your order which will be returned back to us. We would ask you to let us know that you have done this so that we can process your refund accordingly. 

Can I alter my order?

Sadly once your order has been placed, we are unable to modify your order once we have started processing it as our website automatically syncs with our warehouse. We would kindly ask you to double check all details on your order before making payment. If you would like to order a greater quantity or an additional product, please place a new order online.

What countries do you ship to?

We ship to most European countries from our warehouse in Germany. A full list of delivery countries can be found on our delivery page here. If you are located in a geography outside of this list, we would be delighted to provide you with a bespoke quote. 

 

Can I track my order?

Yes. We’ll provide updates at every stage of your order, from the moment you place it, through to despatch and delivery. In your delivery confirmation emails, you’ll receive a tracking reference which you can use to check the progress of your order online.

Will I receive all my items at once?

If you have ordered more than one item, it is likely they will be delivered at the same. However on some occasions you might receive them on different days and / or with different delivery companies. We use a variety of reputable couriers based on quality of service and cost to make sure we can get your order to you in the quickest way and keep the price of our equipment as affordable as possible. Tracking information is provided on all orders.

Due to the size and the weight of orders many of our products ship in multiple boxes which can sometimes be separated in transit as it goes through the courier’s network and may not be delivered together. We would recommend checking the tracking in the first instance and if the rest of order hasn’t turned up within 48 hours please contact us.

Do I need to pay Customs?

All orders are shipped from the BRAINGAIN warehouse in Germany and if you are based in the EU no customs will be payable. If you are however outside of the EU, customs will be due and payable by you as the Customer. 

If you are based in the UK and would like to purchase our equipment, please visit our BRAINGAIN UK site whereby your order will be dispatched from our UK warehouse. 

Can I collect your goods in person?

We are currently an online only retailer however if there are any specific questions, please do contact us and we're always happy to help in whatever way we can. We only use reputable couriers (DPD, GLS, DHL) to ensure safe and quick delivery of all orders. 

Can I buy something from the BRAINGAIN UK site?

BRAINGAIN currently operates two sites / warehouses - one in the UK and one in the EU. We are actively working to expand our EU range to mirror our UK range, however appreciate there may be some items that you would like immediately. Please be mindful that any orders made on our UK site will be subject to customs, which are payable by the customer. 

Returns

Can I return or exchange an item?

At BRAINGAIN we want you to be 100% happy with your order but we understand people sometimes change their mind. If you would like to request a refund or exchange, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order so we can make it right. Please keep your original packaging as items must be returned in their original condition.

As our items are heavy goods, the packaging we provide gives our products the best chance of being kept safe in transit and reaching back to us in good condition. Sending back without original packaging will be charged at €20 per box.

As our products are heavy goods, the shipping unfortunately is not inexpensive. We will book this in for you.

However the following charges apply:
Return shipping costs for products over 30kg's are €40 and products under 30kg are €25. We have business rates with our couriers and we get good shipping rates for the heavy goods that we send out daily.

However should you wish to use your own courier, we would recommend you to use a trackable shipping service as we are not able to issue a refund until we have received your items.

My order has arrived but it’s not as I expected. What can I do?

In the rare event that your order arrives damaged or faulty, please take photos of the product in question and email our customer service team via eusupport@braingain.fit with the details or contact us here and we'll respond within 24-48 hours. We will ensure to get your issue resolved as quickly as possible. 

If you just don’t like the product for any reason, we’ll gladly accept it back as a return, providing it’s in “as new” condition, in its original packaging with all labels attached. Please check our Returns and Exchanges page for further information.

What if my order is damaged when they arrive?

The BRAINGAIN team check every product before it is sent for delivery to make sure everything is working as it should. We are however aware that things can get damaged in transit as it passes through the courier network and we will ensure that any damaged items / parts are replaced accordingly to have you working out as soon as possible.

BRAINGAIN's focus has historically been on home gym equipment, however we have sold to a number of fitness studios, gyms and hotels. We work with a network of suppliers who provide commercial grade gym equipment and machines.
